Description
Red Mesa is a beautiful showcase of American Impressionism. The artist Frank Reaugh is known as the Dean of Texas Artists. He established an art school in Dallas in 1897 and led groups of art students on sketching expeditions throughout West Texas. Many of his students gained regional and national prominence. This plein-air pastel sketch of the Texas landscape is one of the more than seven thousand works Reaugh created over his lifetime.
