Description
David Crockett is a larger-than-life portrait of the Alamo defender. The canvas greets visitors today in the South Foyer. Crockett served as a U.S. Congressman and State Legislator from Tennessee. He traveled to Texas with friends after the Texas Revolution started in late 1835. Crockett fought and died at the Battle of the Alamo on March 6, 1836.
